Our honourable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has adopted a village on 7th of November, 2014 in the Varanasi called “Jayapur” according to the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (a rural development and cleanliness programme) launched by him in last month.
This programme was launched by Him on the birthday anniversary of the Jayaprakash Narayan on 11th of October (Saturday) in 2014. He also asked MPs to do the same for focusing on the rural development in the villages to a great level. Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana includes various development aspects such as social and cultural development, motivating people in villages towards social mobilization of that village community.
It was specially planned to bring a demand driven model through all the village development in India to have gross development all though the India. It is to bring high level of confidence among Indian citizens through this constructive politics which really would have viral effect a day.
Accordingly, each MPs are requested to adopt any village in India and take full responsibility of the development (physical and institutional infrastructure) of that village. He also said that by 2016 (one village) and by 2019, we should complete the developmental process of at least three villages in India.
Why Narendra Modi Adopted Jayapur
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi on his first visit to the constituency Varanasi on Friday, 11th of Novemebr, 2014, decided to adopt the Jayapur village in Varanasi according to his scheme launched in the month of October. He adopted this village to enhance the importance of cleanliness and stress free environment among people. He decided to go ahead through the physical and institutional infrastructure development of the village.

When PM Narendra Modi reached to the Jayapur village looking for developmental changes in the village he said that, I am not here to adopt Jayapur village instead Jayapur village has adopted me to participate in the Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana to make this village Adarsh village of India.
